Hi, I’m Emily McCarty, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I’m passionate about supporting young adults, people in the helping professions, and caregivers, on their path to healing and self-discovery. I specialize in working with adults who are navigating anxiety, burnout, life changes and transitions, perfectionism/people-pleasing tendencies, low-self esteem, and the impact of past trauma. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and supported while addressing the challenges that may be getting in the way of your well-being.

In our work together, I provide a nonjudgmental, safe space where you can process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I primarily use a person-centered approach, and I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support your healing and growth.

During our first few sessions, we’ll explore what’s most important to you. We’ll identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and begin to understand what you hope to gain from therapy. I believe that your experiences and values matter deeply, and I strive to tailor our work to what feels most meaningful and helpful to you.
